I really like your favorite pic as well. It shows texture, form and lines. Lines and selective focus go hand in hand in this picture. As you start going up from the bottom of the picture because of the leading lines, the details become more in focus.
The most interesting picture on your contact sheet is the picture of the door and lock. I enjoy this picture because of the strong lines along with the texture on the door that gives the photo more layers and more places to rest your eye.
